Mr. Thomas E. Mullis

BURLINGTON — Mr. Thomas Ernest Mullis, 91, of 211 Holly St., died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at his home after one year of failing health.

A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Vivian Christine Gerringer Mullis and the son of Mr. Charlie Brown Mullis and Mrs. Ida Helms Mullis, both deceased. He retired after 39 years with Duke Power Co. He was a member of the Duke Power Retiree Club and the Burlington Assembly of God.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mario (Lydia) Rosalez of Burlington; a son, Mr. Thomas M. Mullis of Elon College; two sisters, Mrs. Carson Allen and Mrs. Wilma Russell, both of Charlotte; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Burlington Assembly of God by Dr. Howard Thompson, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Shallow Ford United Church of Christ cemetery.

The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this Tuesday evening and at other times at the home. 3, Mr. Thomas Ernest Mullis,
