James" Larry" Chrisco
September 5, 1940 ~ April 22, 2023
82 Years Old

James “Larry” Chrisco, 82, of Burlington passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his own home.

A native of Alamance County, he is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Cable Chrisco. He was the son of James Clay Chrisco and Bessie Mae Cates Chrisco, both deceased. Until his retirement, Larry owned and operated Southern Home Improvement. He loved his place at Harkers Island and made wonderful memories there for 37 years. Prior to age taking its toll, he enjoyed RV trips to Florida, Nascar, fishing and going places with his family and friends. If he was out, he was in a plaid button-up shirt, wrinkle free jeans and loafers. When he was at home he could be found in his recliner. He was affectionately referred to as PawPaw by his family and his special Biscuitville buddy, Bryce Renner.

Other than his wife Nancy, Larry is survived by his children, James Bryan “Jimmy” Cable (Pam Harris), Teresa Lane (Willie), James Clay “Jimmy” Chrisco, John Steven Chrisco (Pam), Larry Eugene Chrisco, James “Lee” Thrift (Courtney); grandchildren, Ashley Shanlever(Charles), Brittney Lane(Taylor), Paytin Chrisco, and Larry Wayne Chrisco; great grandchildren, Gracyn, Lane, Finley, and Liam; and sister, Kay Chrisco. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and David Chrisco.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Don Pegg with the family receiving friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Shallow Ford Church Cemetery.
