Rufus L. Joyce
BURLINGTON - Rufus L. Joyce, 84, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Richlands, VA to the late Howard and Lucille White Joyce and was married for 47 years to Ella Coleman Joyce who survives. He retired from Chemical Leaman Tank Lines and he attended Faith United Methodist Church where he was active with the Methodist men.
Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Donald (Barbara) Joyce, Carol Joyce, Kim (Mickey) Bradshaw, Ray (Kathy) Kimrey and Sue Crutchfield; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Leiburn J. Parks and brothers, Jerry and Mack Joyce.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church by Rev. Lee Edwards with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 1732 West Davis St., Burlington, NC 27215.
