David Lee Coe Sr.

GIBSONVILLE — David Lee Coe Sr., 53, of 147 Huffines St., Lot 13, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at his home after a sudden illness.

A native of Paterson, N.J., he was the son of Naomi Wilson Coe, who survives, and the late James Ernest Coe.

He was employed with Carolina Chem-Strip in Burlington and served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne.

Survivors other than his mother of Burlington include four sons, William Ray Coe, Joseph Turner Coe and Timothy Lynn Coe, all of Chadbourn, and David Lee Coe Jr. of Graham; three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ernestine Williamson of Graham; and a brother, Michael Ray Coe of Burlington.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Eugene Webb, pastor of Riverdale Baptist Church and the Rev. Jim Hall, associate pastor. Burial will be in Gibsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of his mother, Mrs. Naomi Wilson Coe, 2504 Riverview Drive, Burlington. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Riverdale Baptist Church, 1273 Haw River-Hopedale Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217.3, David Lee Coe Sr.
