Mrs. Blonda Hensley Parker

ELON — Mrs. Blonda Hensley Parker, 86, formerly of Powerline Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, at White Oak Manor after a long illness. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Robert Lee Parker, and the daughter of Rainey Ballard and Alma Gerringer Hensley, both deceased.

She was a former employee of May Hosiery Mill and was a substitute teacher in the Elon College Schools. She was a member of Faith Bible Chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. June Barnett and her husband, Don of Houston and Mrs. Jackie Heald and her husband, George of Marietta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Leah Heald and Robert Heald.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Erma Goodwin, Mrs. Lorena Horner and Mrs. Dale Crenshaw.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Mack Ray, lay pastor. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 6 to 8 this evening.3, Mrs. Blonda Hensley Parker
