Mozelle Gerringer Smith Loy
ELON — Mozelle Gerringer Smith Loy , 87, formerly of Hub Mill Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2007, after several years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jimmie Alfred Smith and wife of Ralph Loy , who survives. She was the daughter of the late Ogburn and Martha Elizabeth Loy Gerringer.
She retired from Glen Raven Mills and was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Christian Church, where she was a member of the Morning Star Sunday school class.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Loy ; son, Alfred Smith; granddaughters, Andrea S. Moricle, Brandi S. Snyder, and Carlie Smith; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh Moricle and Hayden Moricle; and a sister, Irene Lee.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Dave Gilbert. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at 3426-A Hub Mill Road, Elon.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
