ELON — Ralph Morgan Loy, 92, formerly of Hub Mill Road, died on Monday, August 10, 2009 at Liberty Commons.
He was born in Alamance County to the late John Raymond and Lennie Hurley Loy and was married to the late Mozelle Gerringer Loy.
Ralph worked for Tower Hosiery, King Tire and later retired from Unifi Textile. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and formerly attended Hocutt Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Marian Loy of Kure Beach; stepson, Carlton Terrell of Spring Lake; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step- great- grandchild; sister, Carlene Hodge of Burlington; and a brother, Howard Loy of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Howard Loy; and sisters, Mary Perrela and Eleanor Hopkins.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dave Gilbert with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
