ELON COLLEGE - Funeral services for Peter Milton "Pete" Gerringer, 75, of Route 1, Elon College, who died Friday, were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Berea Christian Church. Burial was in the Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery at Altamahaw.
Officiating at the services were Rev. Reuben S. Askew, pastor, and Rev. Bland Leebrick, pastor of Apple's Chapel Christian Church. Music was provided by the Berea Church choir and Mrs. Betty Boone, soloist.
Pallbearers were W. Luther Iseley, D. Reed Pickard, W. Everett Welch, Harold W. Hill, James F. Scott, and J. Richard Jones.
Mrs. W.J. Fonville and Mrs. Ben McIntyre were in charge of flowers, assited by Mesdames Allen Bell, Claude Tate, Pearlie Gaster, W.S. Franks, Dan Ireland, H.H. Simpson, Jr., Charles Vaughn, C.M. McIntyre, Edsel McIntyre, S.L. Boone, Reuben Askew, Allen Bryant, J.M. McIntyre, Martin Jones, Anna Barber, R.L. Ireland, Joan Vincent, D.L.
