Cyrus Barber
     ELON COLLEGE - Cyrus Lee Barber, 85, of Rt. 2, Elon College, died at 1 a.m. today in Alamance County Hospital following 10 years of failing health.
     A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late James D. and Martha L. Barber. He was owner and operator of Barber Service Station and Grocer.
     Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lena Gerringer Barber at home; son, Leonard Raymond Barber of Rt. 2, Elon College; two grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.
     Graveside rites will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shallowford United Church of Christ cemetery.
     The body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington until taken to the cemetery for the service. Visitation will begin at noon Friday. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
