 BURLINGTON — Robert Stephen Petty Sr., 82, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.
 
 A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
 
 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd, Burlington NC 27215.

Robert Stephen Petty, Sr, 82 of Burlington passed away Thursday November 19, 2015 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell.

Robert was born in Chatham County on June 28, 1933 the son of Stephen Algie Petty and Cora Creed Petty. Growing up on a farm Robert learned the value of hard work at a young age. He was an avid story teller and also enjoyed softball. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grand Father and Great-Grandfather. On December 15, 1952 he married the former Susie Taunt Perry who survives him of the home.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two sons, Robert Stephen "Steve" Petty, Jr. of Burlington and Charles "Mike" Petty of Burlington; a daughter, Carol Tadros Eller of Burlington; four grandchildren, Amber Petty, Stephanie Petty of Asheboro, Shane Petty and wife Tiffany of Seneca Missouri and Rudy Leigh Petty of Burlington and two great-grandchildren, Kairi Petty and Reagan Elizabeth Petty of Seneca, Missouri.
