Vivian Elizabeth Stutts Stanfield


BURLINGTON - Vivian Elizabeth Stutts Stanfield, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Village at Brookwood at the age of 98.

Mrs. Stanfield was born January 14, 1923, in Orange County, NC. She was the wife of the late Bobby Ogburn Stanfield and the daughter of the late Mervin Edison Stutts and Vivian Elizabeth Touchstone Stutts. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and worked for many years at Western Electric in the accounting department. She was a mother, grandmother and homemaker and a member of Front Street United Methodist Church. Vivian loved spending time with family and enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, sailing and especially visiting the beautiful NC and SC coast.

Surviving are daughters, Melissa Stanfield Walker and husband Walter Ed Walker, Seagrove, NC; Dr. Robyn L. Stanfield and husband Dr. Robert A. Kuharski, San Diego, CA,; grandchildren Sage Walker Thrift (Stuart), Nathaniel E. Walker (Myra), David S. Kuharski and Andrew E. Kuharski, and greatgranddaughter Meleia A. Walker. The family wishes to recognize and thank her friend and caregiver Laverne “Mae” Woods and all of the caring staff at the Village at Brookwood.
A graveside service at Alamance Memorial Park will be officiated by the Rich & Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington.
