Obituary Online notes for Jathina Blanche RUSH
Blanche Rush Johnson of 2512 West Front Street, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center at the age of 93.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Schoolfield, VA in March 1918 to the late Charles Andrew Rush, Sr. and the late Flora Lee Hooker Rush. She was married to A. Richard Johnson for 67 years.

She is survived by her husband of the home, her son A. Richard Johnson, Jr. of Burlington and her daughter, Sharon Johnson Hartis, and her husband Ron of Cary and her grandchildren, Chad Richard Johnson of Baltimore, MD and Jennifer Hartis Madenspacher and husband, Brad, of Clayton, NC. Also, she is survived by a sister, Sandra Rush Beal and husband, Wayne and a brother, Roger G. Rush of Burlington and a sister-in-law, Helen Beal Rush of Swepsonville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Myrtle Rush Webster , Irene Lenora Rush, Betty Rush McCraw; by her brothers, Robert Dallas Rush , Charles Andrew Rush, Jr., Raymond Curtis Rush; and by her beloved grandson, Jonathan Blair Hartis.

She was a lifetime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Grace Cheek Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Burlington on Thursday, May 12 at two p.m. with the Rev. C. Powell Sykes officiating. The family will receive friends at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home from six to eight p.m. Wednesday evening.

Burial will be held following the service at Pine Hill Cemetery.
