Randall Lynn Clapp
GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Randall Lynn Clapp, 60, of Gibsonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Chalmers Rankin Clapp Jr. and Betty Jean C. Barham, who survives.
He was a machine adjustor for Lorillard/ITG for 34 years and was a member of the John Sloan Sons of the Confederate Veterans, the NRA, and the ASPCA.
In addition to his mother and her special friend, Wade Salmon, survivors include three children, Kari Renee Clapp of Burlington, Dustin Lynn Clapp of Manassas, VA, and Anthony Lee Clapp of Phoenix, AZ; a special friend, Carol Moore of McLeansville; three grandchildren, Kassi Barr, Dylan Barr, and Collins Grace Clapp; three brothers, Tim Clapp and wife Nancy of Elon, Mike Clapp and wife Debra of Burlington, and Jeff Clapp of Burlington; and two special cats.
A service to celebrate Randall’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington with the Rev. Ron Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, from 6 until 8
p.m.at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington and at other times will be at the home of Diana and JC Merrick, aunt and uncle of Randall Clapp.
