Obituary Online notes for Mary Catherine MOFFITT
Mary Catherine Moffitt Murray, 85, of Burlington passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 16, 2020, after several years of declining health. Mrs. Murray was the daughter of Robert Lee Moffitt and Bessie Farmer Moffitt who preceded her in death. She was the wife of James Hughes Murray and the mother of one son, James Craig Murray, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Henry Moffitt and one sister, Lillian Moffitt Thomas.
Mrs. Murray is survived by one brother, Colon Lee Moffitt. She is survived by a granddaughter, Jennifer Murray Stanfield and the apple of her eye, grandson-in-law, Timothy Michael Stanfield, Sr. She is also survived by two great grandsons, Timothy Michael Stanfield, Jr. (TJ) and Nickolas Lee Stanfield. Mrs. Murray is survived by three nieces, Belinda Ann Thomas, Angela Thomas Garner (Tommy), Miriam Thomas Carver (Carl) and nephew, Cameron Moffitt. She is survived by two great nieces, one great nephew, two great-great nieces, and four great-great nephews.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Ken Smith of the Lambs Chapel will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family is so very grateful to the staff and nurses at Brookdale Memory Care and Hospice of Alamance-Caswell for their care and compassion during Mrs. Murray's final months and days.470, Catherine Moffitt Murray
