Ronald Monroe Hudson

Ronald Monroe Hudson,66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side.

He was born in Alamance County on December 19, 1956 to the late John Monroe Hudson and Florence Poythress Hudson, and was the husband of 18 years to Brenda Hensley Hudson who survives.

Ronald was a retired self-employed truck driver who was known as “Bekins” as his nickname. Before he drove a truck, he worked with the City of Burlington in the water department. Ronald was a member of Landmark Baptist Church for over 33 years and was a member of The Believers Sunday school class at Glen Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to car shows, playing cards, board games, drawing and playing his guitar, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors other than his wife, Brenda include his daughters, Brandi Qualls and husband Baron and Amanda Kelly Bonfanti and husband Louis; grandchildren, Jaden Qualls, Reagan Qualls, Tyler Lee Tuck, Connor Matthew Tuck and Ethan Bonfanti; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Roney and husband Charles; and his feline companion, Hodges.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Hudson; his son, Matthew “Matt” Lee Tuck; a grandson, Mathew DeCristo; his sister-in-law, Linda Hensley, and his in-laws, Nora and Leroy Hensley.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. James Hedrick for the excellent care and compassion that he showed to Ronald through the years and the support that he gave to Brenda during this journey with Ronald’s illness.

A service to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Cliff Wilson with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home at 1321 Parker St. in Burlington.
Memorials may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2615, Burlington, NC 27216. You may sign the online register book and watch the service at www.lowefuneralhome.com. 256, Ronald Monroe Hudson
