Mr. Roy Calvin Dawson
Whitsett – Mr. Roy Calvin Dawson, 89, of Whitsett, NC passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Authora Care Hospice.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Helen Friddle Dawson, and son of the late James and Mozelle Thomas Dawson. He graduated from McLeansville High School and attended Elon College. Mr. Dawson was retired from AT & T / Lucent Technologies, a US Army Veteran and a member of Brick Reformed Church where he served on the Consistory Board many times. He loved fishing, deer hunting, and rabbit hunting with his brothers.
Surviving are a son, Barry Dawson (Pam) of Whitsett, NC; daughter, Dawn Hutchens (Gene) of Whitsett, NC; three grandsons, Dr. Hunter Dawson (Melissa) of Waxhaw, NC, Tyler Dawson (Nichole) of Liberty, NC and Austin Moody (Shelby) of Julian, NC; and six great grandchildren Brooks, Brie, Braylynn, Mereidith, Blake and McKenna, brothers, Hermon Dawson of Richmond,VA;Staley Dawson and Howard Dawson both of Gibsonville,NC;sisters Fannie Clark of Burlington,NC; and Louise Newell of Gibsonvile,NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, Bertha Brame, John Dawson, Mary Stokes, Frances Batton and Raymond Dawson, and his great grandson Gabe Dawson.
Funeral services will be held, 2:00pm Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Brick Reformed Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will great friends in fellowship hall after the graveside service. 261, Roy Calvin Dawson

Mr. Roy Calvin Dawson
Whitsett – Mr. Roy Calvin Dawson, 89, of Whitsett, NC passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Authora Care Hospice.
