RD Barts
CEDAR GROVE - Mr. RD Barts, 82, of Cedar Grove passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his residence.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church and retired from Dixie Yarns after 42 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Saunders (Randy), brother; Earl Barts, grandchildren; Remington Jarrett (Liz Rogers), Clint Jarrett (Dusti), great grandchild; Bentley Jarrett and a sister in law, Ruth Moore.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Ruby Walker Barts, parents; Flora Carmichael and Elder Barts, daughter; Noveline Barts, brother; Curnell Barts, sisters; Nellie Hamlett and Ersel Byrd.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday eveningOctober 18, 2016 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Mt. Zion Christian Church.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
