April 8, 1966 ~ February 16, 2024 (age 57)
Roy Lee Shepherd, Jr., 57, of Burlington, NC passed away on Friday, February 16th, 2024.
A native of Alamance County, NC, he was the son of Roy Lee Shepherd, Sr. and the late Vickie Elaine Roney Shepherd.
In addition to his father, Lee is survived by sons, Doug Shepherd (Rhonda) and Brad Shepherd (Kendra Lineberry); his daughter, Kensly Shepherd; grandchildren, Layla Grace Shepherd, Amberlyn Shepherd, Makaylyn Shepherd, Braeley Shepherd and Hadleigh Carnes; brothers, Eddie Oliver (Patsy), Kim Oliver (Kay), Shawn Oliver (Kim) and Scott Oliver (Jennifer).
In addition to his mother, Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Shepherd.
Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing and camping with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather. He spent many years operating a wrecker doing heavy recovery and took great pride in that job. He worked for Battleground Wrecker Service for 20 years and finished off his wrecker/trucking career at Diesel Engine.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.
