Nettie Lou Barber Dodson
Nettie Lou Barber Dodson, 93, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
A native of Alamance County, she was born February 15, 1932 to the late Robert Cornelius Barber, Sr. and Ruth McCoy Cook Barber and was the wife of 70 years to the late Harry Lee Dodson.
Netti was a longtime member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church and a member of the Fellowship Sunday school class. She was employed with Dixie Belle Textiles and Rental Uniform where she would later retire.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Lee Dodson and wife, Denise of Graham, Kenneth Wayne Dodson and wife, Cindy of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Amy Gomez and husband, Paul, Matthew Dodson and wife, Amber, Hannah Dodson, Kelly Webster, Jeffrey Dodson and wife, Cassie and Lauren Picha and husband, Tom; great grandchildren, Cooper, Harper Jo, Lucy, Cameron, Christian, Madeline, Quinn, Cora, Caleb, Kaydence, Vera and Noah
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Stephen Russell Dodson; brothers, R.C. Barber, Jr., David Barber and sisters, Linda Creel and Sandra Whitt.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by Rev. Kristen Leven with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
