Stephen "Steve" Russell Dodson

October 5, 1957 ~ October 16, 2021 (age 64)

Stephen “Steve” Russell Dodson, 64, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surround by his family.  He was born on October 5, 1957 in Alamance County to the late Harry Lee Dodson and Nettie Lou Barber Dodson who survives.

Steve was a Plummer with UNC University.  He loved being outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  He grew the largest cantaloupes and watermelons, but never told his secret.

Survivors other than his mother, Nettie Barber Dodson, include his brothers, Michael “Mike” Lee Dodson and wife Denise and Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Dodson and wife Cindy; six nieces and nephews; eleven great nieces and great nephews; and his special friend, Stacey Schnick.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Randy Wellford.  The family will receive friends following the service.
