Ruby “Dolly” Wood Isley, 94, of Raleigh passed away at Sunrise of Raleigh on Monday, April 24, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James Alfred Isley and the daughter of Willie Craven Wood and Josephine Herron Wood, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Dona Isley Hill of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Peyton Thigpen and husband Ron, Joanna Worthington and husband Rob, and Laura Dunaway and husband Field; and five great grandchildren, Andrew and Kaylee Thigpen, Ty Worthington, and Poppy and Whit Dunaway.
The funeral service will be conducted at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Keith Porter and Rev. David Jackson with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are invited to the K&W on Ramada Road in Burlington to spend time with the family following all services.
