GRAHAM – Mrs. Doris Stanfield Holt, 88, of Graham died at the Alamance House in Burlington on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10:27 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Lonnie Pickett “L.P.” Holt, Jr. and the daughter of William Lewis Stanfield and Mary Pickard Stanfield, both deceased. Mrs. Holt retired from AT&T and was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Delane Holt and husband John Shea of Liberty; son, Lonnie W. Holt and wife Deborah of Graham; two grandchildren, Richard Cahl Holt of New Port, NC and Angela Holt Garrett and husband Jeffrey of Kitrell, NC; seven greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Iris Sharpe and Hilda Isley, both of Graham.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. by Rev. Steve Loy with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Other times, the family will be at the residence of the son, Lonnie W. Holt, 3736 Bass Mountain Road, Graham, NC.
