Matthew Scott "Matt" McBane
January 31, 1972 ~ March 14, 2020 (age 48)


Matthew Scott “Matt” McBane, 48, of Alamance County, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Melissa Morgan McBane and the son of the late Allen Scott McBane and Linda Guthrie McBane who survives.

He was reared as a member of Chatham Friends Meeting. Matt graduated from Southern Alamance High School, Guilford College and received his Pharm D from UNC Chapel Hill. He worked as Pharmacist at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Survivors other than his wife and mother include his step-daughter, Sarah Long Alberti and husband Chris; sister, Sarah Elizabeth McBane and husband John An and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham, NC. A public service of celebration will be held at a later date.

Matt’s family would like to thank the Alamance Cancer Center and all of his work family at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their love and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patricia Bynum Fund, Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation, PO Box 202, Burlington, NC 27216.
