Betty May Still, 80, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Hospice Home of Burlington.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.

Betty was born on November 14, 1934 in Guilford County to the late Boyd and Elsie Steele May. She was an avid Duke fan and followed NASCAR racing. She retired from Container Corp. of America.

In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ira Richard Still, Jr.; daughter, Sharon Stewart; and brother, R.D. May.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie Stewart (Wanda) of Gibsonville, Douglas Stewart (Jill) of Whitsett, Lisa Essex (Re), Rick Still (Cheryl), Scott Still (Dawn);sisters, Frances Dunevant (Alton) of Mcleansville, Doris Hutchens of Archdale, and Peggy Stewart (Gene) of Gibsonville; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
