CLINTON, Mo. -- Lottie (Rader) Close, 88, Clinton, formerly of Mound City and Oregon, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at a Clinton health care center.

Mrs. Close was born Oct. 26, 1912, in Webster County, Mo. She moved to Holt County, Mo., in her youth, where she attended school in Woodville and Oregon.

On May 28, 1932, she married Frederick E. Close. He died in 1983.

Mrs. Close also was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mandy Rader.

Surviving: a daughter, Jane Whitaker, Clinton; two sisters, Darlene Rouse, Trenton, Mo., and Charlene Praiswater, St. Joseph; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Service: 2 p.m. Monday, Pettijohn & Crawford Family Funeral Service, Mound City. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City. There is no scheduled visitation.
