Faye Rickard Moody, 89, of Yanceyville, NC, died at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro on Monday, June 20, 2016.
Born in Rowan County, April 26, 1927, she was the wife of John D. Moody Jr., who survives, and the daughter of John Ray Rickard and Frances Rickard Cooke, both deceased. 
Mrs. Moody graduated from Elon College and taught at Walter M. Williams High School. She was a former member of St. Mark's Church and the Church of Jesus Christ in Burlington. In 2015, Mr. and Mrs. Moody became members of Bethel Christian Church.

In addition to her husband of 69 years, she is survived by 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. 

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Bethel Christian Church on Baynes Road. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.

 Born in Rowan County, April 26, 1927, she was the wife of John D. Moody Jr., who survives, and the daughter of John Ray Rickard and Frances Rickard Cooke, both deceased.

 In addition to her husband of 69 years, she is survived by her children, John Moody and wife Pam, George Moody, Clair Moody and Charles Moody; five grandchildren, Ashleigh Brown (Callum), Jonathan Moody (Jamie), Leigh Evans (Ryan Howard), Rebecca Moody (Jervey McGlothlin) and Patrick Moody; nine greatgrandchildren; Gracie and Emma Brown, Caroline and Isabella Evans, Moira Howard, LJ, Ana, Rori and Kyla McGlothlin.
