John D. Moody, Jr.

John D. Moody, Jr., 99, of Yanceyville, NC, passed away at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
A native of Baltimore, MD, he was the husband of the late Faye Rickard Moody and the son of John D. Moody, Sr. and Emily Caroline Hoffman Moody, both deceased.
John retired as President of Textile Sales Room in 1995 and was a man of strong, Christian faith.
Survivors include three sons, John A. Moody and wife Pam of Newport, George W. Moody and wife Tracie of Yanceyville, and Charles R. Moody of Burlington; grandchildren, Ashleigh Brown (Callum), Journey McGlothlin (Jervey), Jonathan Moody (Lauren), and Patrick Moody; and great-grandchildren, Gracie Brown, Emma Brown, Caroline Evans, Isabella Evans, Moira Howard, L.J., Ana, Ace, and Kyla McGlothlin, Harrison Moody and Nathan Hunt.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Clair Moody, and sister, Jean Moody Tapscott.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Bethel Christian Church, 595 Baynes Rd., Burlington. The funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm, with a reception immediately following in the fellowship hall. Interment will be at 3:00 pm.
