REIDSVILLE — Mrs. Bessie Gwyn Smith, 81, formerly of 5642 Cherry Grove Road, died Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Annie Penn Hospital. A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Harvey E. Smith, and the daughter of Mr. Wade Smith and Mrs. Georgia Ware Smith, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Betty Smith (Larry) Cheek and Mrs. Dianne Smith Fuquay (Barry) Day, both of Reidsville; two sons, Mr. Gary (Margie) Smith and Mr. Jimmy (Jane) Smith, both of Reidsville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Hassell Gwyn. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at 7925 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville.3, Mrs. Bessie Gwyn Smith
