    BURLINGTON — G. Dwayne Smith, 45, of 1069 Knollridge Road, died Thursday, June 30, 2011.
    A native of Alamance County, Dwayne and his wife, Constance Caudle Smith, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on June 14. He was the son of Gary and Margie Jones Smith.
    Dwayne was a vice president with Stanley, Hunt, Dupree and Rhyne, a subsidiary of BB&T. He was a member of LakeviewCommunityChurch, where he was currently serving as chairman of the Stewardship and Finance committee. He previously served on other committees. Dwayne was active as a coach in youth athletics where he had a positive impact and served as a mentor to those he coached and to so many others in which he came into contact.
    He was a 1984 graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School and graduated with honors from North Carolina State University in 1988, with a degree in business management. He and Constance, with their sons, are loyal members of the Wolfpack Club.
    Dwayne was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend andWolfpack fan. In addition to his wife, Constance, of the home, he is survived by two sons, Jeremey Dwayne Smith, who is following in his father’s footsteps and attending North Carolina State University where he is a rising senior, Adam Michael Smith, of the home, who is a rising senior at Western Alamance High School; his parents, Gary and Margie Smith, of Caswell County; his sister, Ashley Smith Parnell and her husband, Brandon, of Caswell County; his brother, Kevin Michael Smith and his wife, Mitzi, of Caswell County; grandparents, Paul and Burdell Jones, of Caswell County; nieces and nephews, Dakota, Hunter, Kaden, Chase and Addyson; his father and mother-in-law, Howard and Becky Caudle, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Pierre Lent and Sherron and J.J. Jones; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
    The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Lakeview Community Church, 101 Boone Road, Burlington, NC 27215. At other times, they will be at the residence.
    A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Lakeview Community Church. Officiating will be the Revs. Reid Dickens, Dan Ficklin and James Rosser. Burial will follow at the Union Ridge Church cemetery.
