GRAHAM - Mrs. Betty Lou Holt Perry, 82, of 302 Oakgrove Drive, Graham, died at her residence on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 11 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of James M. "Jim" Perry Jr., who survives and the daughter of Charm Don Holt and Bertha Cheek Holt, both deceased. She retired as an executive secretary from Western Electric and AT&T. Betty Lou was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Graham where she was a choir member for many years.
Betty enjoyed athletics, playing cards and horseshoes, hosting family gatherings and celebrating holidays. It has been said that Betty had a "party in her heart." She always made others feel comfortable and welcome, wherever she was. Betty was a loving and doting grandmother and a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, Susan Perry Evans and husband Chuck of Apex; two sons, Rodney "Rock" Perry and wife Cheryl of Graham and Timothy "Tim" Perry and wife Karen of Graham; six grandchildren, Casey Perry Johnston and husband Trent, Kristin Perry Vincent and husband Jonathon, Marisa Evans, Sydney Evans, Taylor Perry and Spence Perry; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Kathryn Holt Lockamy and Margaret Holt Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Vance Holt. - 470, Betty Lou Holt Perry
