Ruth McDaniel Carmon, 89, died Monday, October 21, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Carmon was born May 25, 1930 in Rockingham County, to the late James and Luzanie McDaniel. She retired from AT&T after over 30 years, was a member of the Pioneers, The Garden Club, and Peace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, William H. Carmon, Sr.; sons, William “Billy” Carmon, Jr. (Beverly) and Robert B. “Bobby” Carmon (Lisa); grandchildren, Christina Carmon Whitesell, Will Carmon, III, and Nathan Carmon; and sisters, Lala Wilson and Carrie Branch.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at George Brothers Funeral Service.
A very special thanks to all the ladies of Hospice of Alamance.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, or to Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. 3, Ruth McDaniel Carmon
