YANCEYVILLE — Kathleen Rice Aldridge, 82, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Caswell County on April 23, 1936 to the late Steven Norman Rice and Sadie Pegram Rice and was the wife to Bobby Franklin Aldridge of 63 years, who survives.
Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church. She attended Oakview Church and Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church; and was a member of the Senior Clef Choir. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than her husband, Bobby Aldridge, include her sons, Tim Aldridge and wife Montina, Norman Aldridge and wife Linda, and Terry Aldridge; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Grey Smith and Janice Vernon and husband Cy. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Martha Simmons Hamlett and Betty Cobb.
The funeral service will be held 3:00PM Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Elder David Underwood and Pastor Bob Hillman with the interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Monday, April 8, 2019 at Oakview Church and other times at the home.
