Bobby Franklin Aldridge
Bobby Franklin Aldridge, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Caswell County to the late Carlton and Edna Rudd Aldridge and was married for 63 years to the late Kathleen Rice Aldridge.
He was a member of Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church. Bobby was a member of the American Angus Association, NC Angus Association, NC Cattleman Association, Southern Caswell Ruritan, and was a Caswell County Commissioner. He was in the NC Angus Hall of Fame, received the American Angus Historic Herd Award, the Outstanding Young Farmer Award and had worked with black angus cows for 77 years, since he was 9 years old. Bobby loved working outside on the farm and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and brother who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his sons, Tim Aldridge and his wife, Montina, Norman Aldridge and his wife, Linda, and Terry Aldridge; 4 grandchildren, Jill Overman and her husband, C.T., Chad Aldridge and his wife, Blair, Katie McCann and her husband, Jared, Lauren Crawford and her husband, Dustin; 6 great grandchildren, Alison Bartley and her husband, Josh, Eli Aldridge, William Murphy, Jamie Grace McCann, Macie Kathleen McCann, River Jean Crawford; and 4 great great grandchildren, Jade, Joshua, Jamie and Jaxxon Bartley; sisters, Carolyn Aldridge and Linda Ballance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Shirley Aldridge Dabbs and a brother, Irvin Aldridge.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Elder David Underwood and Elder Jimmy Gray with the interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.

YANCEYVILLE — Kathleen Rice Aldridge, 82, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Caswell County on April 23, 1936 to the late Steven Norman Rice and Sadie Pegram Rice and was the wife to Bobby Franklin Aldridge of 63 years, who survives.
Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church. She attended Oakview Church and Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church; and was a member of the Senior Clef Choir. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than her husband, Bobby Aldridge, include her sons, Tim Aldridge and wife Montina, Norman Aldridge and wife Linda, and Terry Aldridge; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Grey Smith and Janice Vernon and husband Cy. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Martha Simmons Hamlett and Betty Cobb.
The funeral service will be held 3:00PM Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Elder David Underwood and Pastor Bob Hillman with the interment to follow in the church cemetery.
