In 1910 he was employed as a bank cashier in Yanceyville, NC. By 1920, the family has moved to Danville, VA were he is employed as a warehouse tobaccoist and in 1930 as a tobacco co warehouseman. Frederick and Minnie had four children: James, Bedford, Annie and Frances. Their son James was the only child to marry. Frederick and Minnie are buried side-by-side at Rose Hill.
