Betty Strader McIntyre, 77, of Burlington passed away at her residence on Friday, November 4, 2022 following several months of declining health.
A native of Danville, VA, she was the wife of the late Carl “Bud” Lloyd McIntyre, Sr. and the daughter of Drewey Wimple Strader and Leneva Williams Strader, both deceased. She was a former textile employee with Burlington Industries and Dan River Mills. She was also a sales representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics. Betty enjoyed art, playing cards with the girls, and quilting. She was a member of Stoney Creek Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Parrish (Billy); grandson, Benjamin Kueider; granddaughter, Caroline Comer; and great granddaughter, Yuna Mae Comer. She was preceded in death by her great grandson, Goku Comer.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
A special thank you is extended to Hospice for the wonderful care given to Betty.
