Johnnie Clay Bradshaw, Sr. of 905 Powell Drive, Raleigh, died on Friday November 19, 2004.
Johnnie was born on May 11, 1919, in Rockingham County, to the late John A. and Mamie Perdue Bradshaw.
Johnnie was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He continued to serve his country until retirement from the Army with the rank of Master Sergeant on November 1, 1967.
He then worked for Burlington Industries until 1981. John was an avid competitor all his life.
He won many medals in the NC Senior Games in golf, horseshoes, billiards, shuffleboard and ping pong.
He continued to enjoy his weekly outings with his 'shuffleboard gang' until his recent health problems forced him to stop.
John is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Emma 'Pat' Dodson Bradshaw; his sons, Johnnie Bradshaw, Jr. and wife Judy of Cary and Barry Bradshaw and fiance Patty Schaefer of Willow Spring; daughter, Judy Busick and husband Karl of Wilmington; sisters, Inez Sexton of Shrewsbury, PA, and Thelma Jones of High Point; grandchildren, Patricia and Karen Busick, Johnnie 'Jake' Bradshaw III, Edward 'Brad' Bradshaw, David Marchenke, Tonya Johnson and Mike Koger; daughter-in-law, Susan Bradshaw; and many other loving friends and family members. 470, Johnnie Clay Bradshaw, Sr.
