Lorene Smith Ingle
September 29, 1932 ~ May 24, 2024 (age 91)

Mrs. Lorene Smith Ingle, 91, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024. Mrs. Ingle was the daughter of the late Lena Elven Smith and Ruffin Thomas Smith.

Mrs. Ingle was a member of RockHill Baptist Church. She and her late husband Kermit Hoover Ingle farmed and worked side by side for 68 years. She loved to cook and care for her friends and family. 

Surviving are her children, Randle Ingle (Sandra) of Simpsonville, SC and Vanessa Robertson (Jack) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Christopher Ingle (Tricia Surles) of Fountain Inn, SC, Megan Stathakis (Michael) of Greenville, SC, Madison Middlebrook (Will) of Cary, NC, Hunter Robertson of New York City, NY and Brandon Ingle of Simpsonville, SC; her sister Betty Jean Layton of Liberty, NC, and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Clarence and Haldon Smith.  

The family warmly invites friends to join them on May 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington, NC, for a time of gathering, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. The Committal Service will take place at Alamance Memorial Park immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RockHill Baptist Church, located at 4363 S. NC 62 Burlington, NC 27215.261, Lorene Smith Ingle
