Kermit Hoover Ingle
BURLINGTON – Mr. Kermit Hoover Ingle, 90, of Burlington, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 6, 2019. Mr. Ingle was son of the late Victor Lee Ingle and Dorothy Smith Ingle.
Mr. Ingle was a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alamance, where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the Cattleman’s Association.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Lorene Smith Ingle, of the home; son, Randle Ingle (Sandra) of Greenville, SC; daughter, Vanessa Ingle Robertson (Jack) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Chris Ingle (Tricia Surles) of Greenville, SC, Megan Stathakis (Michael) of Greenville, SC, Madison Robertson Middlebrook (Will) of Houston, TX, Hunter Van Robertson of London, England and Brandon Ingle of Greenville, SC; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Ingle, Homer Ingle, and Bennett Ingle.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 PM, prior to the service and other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the First Baptist Church of Alamance, 4362 S. NC 62, Burlington, NC 27215.

Mrs. Lorene Smith Ingle, 91, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024. Mrs. Ingle was the daughter of the late Lena Elven Smith and Ruffin Thomas Smith.
Mrs. Ingle was a member of RockHill Baptist Church. She and her late husband Kermit Hoover Ingle farmed and worked side by side for 68 years. She loved to cook and care for her friends and family.
Surviving are her children, Randle Ingle (Sandra) of Simpsonville, SC and Vanessa Robertson (Jack) of Myrtle Beach, SC; five grandchildren, Christopher Ingle (Tricia Surles) of Fountain Inn, SC, Megan Stathakis (Michael) of Greenville, SC, Madison Middlebrook (Will) of Cary, NC, Hunter Robertson of New York City, NY and Brandon Ingle of Simpsonville, SC; her sister Betty Jean Layton of Liberty, NC, and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Clarence and Haldon Smith.
The family warmly invites friends to join them on May 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington, NC, for a time of gathering, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. The Committal Service will take place at Alamance Memorial Park immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to RockHill Baptist Church, located at 4363 S. NC 62 Burlington, NC 27215. [27696]
