BURLINGTON - Theresa Beatrice Stanley Jordan, “Nana Bea", 63 of Burlington gained her wings on April 20, 2020 after several years of failing health.
Bea was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Bea was at her happiest when all her babies were together with her.
Despite her failing health and the constant pain in her later years, Bea always had a warm smile and was always ready to laugh. Even with all of her health issues, she wanted to make sure her loved ones were ok and taken care of. To know Bea was to love her, cliché yet completely true. Her passing leaves a hole in so many hearts.
She was a member of Pleasantview Assembly of God. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of William Otis Stanley and Pansy Haynes Stanley. She is survived by two sons, Mason Alexander Stanley of High Point and James Golden III and wife Leigh of Greensboro; one daughter Jodi Gail Pickard and husband Cregg of Graham; the love of her life Edward Mitchell; two sisters Wanda Reyes and Joan Chambers, one brother Terry Lynn Mitchell and wife Michelle; four grandchildren Korey Jamal Crisp, Camren Janae Tomes, Christopher Golden and Chase Golden, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Todd Mitchell. In light of the recent restrictions due to the coronavirus, a private family service will be held at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.
