Espie was the daughter of Porter C. and Mamie Leola (Coble) Troxler. She married Edward Alphonso Kivett and they were the parents of four children: Sylvia June, Larry Allen, Byron Lane and Thomas Blake.

Mrs. Espie Florine Kivett, 73, of 2724 Nelson Farm Road died Wednesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Alamance Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, she was a member of the Anderson Sunday school class, a member of the Faith, Hope and Love Circle, and was a Sunday school teacher for 15 years, all at her church.
She was a retired supervisor for Troxler Hosiery.
Surviving are husband, Edward A. Kivett; daughter, Mrs. June Herndon of Beaufort; sons, Larry Kivett of Greensboro, Blake Kivett of Ocala, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Doris Echerd of Charlotte, Mrs. Paige Thompson, Mrs. Pearle Wyrick, Mrs. Esta Wyrick, all of Greensboro; brothers, Hoyle Troxler, Paul Troxler, Garlan Troxler, all of Greeensboro; five grandchildren.
The family will be at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today, other times at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church or to the American Heart Association.
