John Davis Gerringer, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022 at The Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 13, 1948 in Guilford County to the late Tom and Alice Gerringer and was the husband of 30 years to Judy Sutton Gerringer who survives.
John retired from Tri City Mechanical and was of the Baptist faith. He loved spending time with his family. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, children, Chris Wells, Corey Hensley, David Wells, Jr., Krystin Hensley and Connie Gerringer, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Phil Gerringer and Leonard Gerringer and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Wells, parents; grandparents, Roy and Effie Tall and John and Sallie Gerringer; brothers, Wayne Gerringer, James Gerringer, Robert Gerringer and Don Gerringer.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Lowe Funeral home Chapel with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday, April 18, 2022 at the funeral home.
