Obituary Online notes for Margaret MOORE
Reidsville–Margaret Moore Tickle, 88, passed into the presence of her Lord Monday, November 28, 2016 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 at Maple Lawn Baptist Church at 5401 NC 65 in Reidsville with Rev. John Byerly, Rev. Rick Church and Rev. Daniel Church officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Margaret was a native of Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Thacker Moore and Sarah Ellen Sharpe Moore. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid shopper and bargain hunter. Margaret was retired from American Tobacco Company where she worked for 39 years. She was the last charter member of Maple Lawn Baptist Church and a former treasurer of the church. She was a beloved member of the Bethany Community.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Curtis Tickle; brothers: Harvey J. Moore and Kenneth Moore; sisters: Lois Lowe, Betty Diamont, Amelia Friddle and Polly Gunn; and step grandchild, Mary Dawn Paschal.
She is survived by her son, Alan Curtis Tickle and wife, Jan of McLeansville, NC; daughters: Susan Denise Gauldin and husband, Mike of Eden, Joyce Tickle Church and husband, Rick of Summerfield, NC, and Karen Tickle Tillman and husband, Tommy of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren: Darleene Norman of Eden, NC, Gary Wayne Gauldin of Eden, NC, Katie Lackey of Reidsville, NC, Daniel Church of Brown Summit, NC and Holly Snyder of Greensboro, NC; step grandchildren: Michael Shannon Tillman of Patuxent, MD, Sonya Darlene Moore and Donna Marie McGehee both of Reidsville; 4 great great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 4 great great step grandchildren; brother, Kirby Moore; and sisters: Mary Ellen Lovings and Sarah Brame.
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM; other times at the home (only Thursday and Friday).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Hermansky Pudlak Syndrome Network in honor of her daughter Karen who has this rare disease. Make checks payable to The HPS Network, One South Rd., Oyster Bay, NY, 11771 and write Margaret Tickle in memo line.
