Robert S. Allen, 80, of Alliance died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in Alliance.
He was born August 19, 1920 at Denver, Colo. to Dr. Robert and Cecil(McAnlin)Allen.
He married Irene Hayward on June 3, 1955 at Denver.
Most of his working life was spent in the cattle industry. He ranched near Gunnison, Colo., co-owned Schmidt-Allen Livestock Supply at the Denver stockyards, and worked at Shalco Cattle Company at Minatare.
20 years ago he moved to Alliance and was the city building inspector before retiring.
He was active in the Alliance Trap Club, Silver Wings Fraternity in Denver and a 50-year Masonic Lodge member.
His survivors are his wife, Irene, children, Charles Allen of Rogers, Ark., Susan Stein of Aurora, Colo., Nancy Kreider of Fort Collins, Colo., and John Allen of Sante Fe, N.M., a sister Louise Easterly of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and a grandson, Jesse Allen.
