Leo Ralph Boyd, 84, son of Ralph George Boyd and Mary Ellen Hodges, passed away at his residence in Anacoco, Louisiana on Thursday, July 13, 2017. He was a member of Green Valley Community Church in Douglas County, Missouri and graduated from Ava High School in 1953.

After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army. Approximately 23 years of military service including one tour of duty in Korea and two tours of duty in Vietnam, he retired from the military with a rank of CW4. Some states that he served in were Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, North Carolina, and New Mexico.

Pleasures in life included: bowling, fishing, hunting, and mostly being with family. He had many members of his large family. Training from his parents and career in military gave him the will to help other people.

Proceeded in death: his parents, granddaughter: Alicia N Shepard, sister: Vera B Bloomer, son: Leo Ralph Boyd II.

Survived by: wife of 37 years Monika Boyd, Son: Lynn Boyd, Daughter: Donna (Andy) Shepard, Grandchildren: Jessica
B Williston, Christina (Robert) Wilkinson, Leo R Boyd III, Rachel Boyd, Great-grandchildren: Paige Boyd, Maggie Wilkerson, Mollie Wilkerson, Brothers: Linnie (June) Boyd and Leon (Polly) Boyd, Sister: Velma B (Bill) Coday, numerous nieces and nephews, and the many members of his large family.

Service: Monday, July 17, 2017, under direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home, Leesville, officiating: Rev. Kevin Boles, Military Honorary Guards.
