Obituary Online notes for Mary Ellen HODGES
Mary "Ellen" Boyd the daughter of Edmond Hodges and Ungena (Summer) Hodges was born Sept. 25, 1910 in Douglas County, Missouri and departed this life Jan. 5, 2007 at the age of 96 years 3 months and 10 days.

Mary Ellen was a life long resident of the Oldfield area. On Aug. 22, 1931 Mary Ellen and Ralph Boyd were united in marriage in Ozark, Missouri and to this union five children were born. Mary Ellen was a Christian and attended Greenvalley Church.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters and her husband, Ralph. She is survived by three sons, Leo Boyd, of the state of Louisiana, Linnie Boyd, Bradleyville, Missouri, Leon Boyd, Oldfield, Missouri, two daughters, Vera Mae Bloomer, Grandview, Missouri, Velma Coday, Springfield, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 in the Union Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO
