Billie Herbin Coltrane, 94, of Brown Summit, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at other times at Barry and Donna’s home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Craven E. Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Born on July 18, 1930, to the late Russell and Ila Faucette Herbin, Billie was a devoted and lifetime member of the Brown Summit community and a longtime member of the Brown Summit United Methodist Church. Known for her warm spirit and remarkable cooking, she cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. She was a homemaker but also enjoyed working at The Monticello Golf Course and as a substitute teacher at Northeast High School. She was always ready for a good time and her motto was “ Sitting on ready even if I don’t get to go.” She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred “Jack” Coltrane, and her sisters, Theda Gerringer, Sybil Shreve, and Rachel Troxler.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Barry (Donna) Coltrane and Bobby (Diane) Coltrane; grandchildren, Steven (Desiree) Coltrane, Dustin Coltrane, Zac (Lindsay) Coltrane, Austin Coltrane, and Lauren Coltrane; and great-grandchildren, Clint, Adalynn, Madison, Harper, Saige, and Kyzer Coltrane. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at The Penn Center and her long-term caregiver, Teresa Farrar, for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Billie in her later years.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 (www.alz.org) or Brown Summit Youth Association at 370 Haw River Trail, Reidsville, NC 27320.
