ELON - Nancy Jean Smith Gwynn, 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 17, 1945 in Rockingham County to the late Roy Houston Smith and Ruth Butler Smith.
Nancy retired from Annedeen Hosiery and was a longtime member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Starlet May and husband Butch; sons, Timmy Gwynn and wife Jennie, James Gwynn, Keith Gwynn and Heith Gwynn; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and five sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 31, 2019 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Gaylord Dix. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
