Obituary Online notes for "Mamie" Mary Elizabeth GWYN
Mary was a daughter of the late James Iverson Gwyn and Rena Estep Gwyn.

She graduated from Hartsell High School and then continued her education at a local business college. She worked for H E Hall Furniture Company until they closed in the early 1960s. She then started a career at the Better Business Bureau, where she worked until she retired. She and her husband both lived in Concord, where they attended Epworth United Methodist Church. Mary loved her church and was very active, always giving of herself and love to all that she did and to all that she met. She also delivered Meals on Wheels until she became sick in 2017. When Mary became ill, she moved to Kannapolis with her niece and nephew where she stayed until she was taken to Tucker Hospice House.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Stewart in 2011; brother, James Eugene Gwyn; and sister, Odelia Oglesby.
