GIBSONVILLE — Mr. John Roland Shepherd Jr., 48, of Gibsonville, died Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, at Gibsonville United Methodist Church, with the Reverend David Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.
Mr. Shepherd was born in Alamance County, N.C., October 20, 1958, to Roland and Nancy Shepherd . He graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, was a Mason, and a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Shepherd is survived by his mother, Nancy Shepherd , of the home brothers, Jeff Shepherd and wife, Hope, of Burlington, and Jay Shepherd of Whitsett; nieces, Laura Shepherd and Cantelle Shepherd ; nephews, Jeffery Shepherd and Jeremy Shepherd .
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
