Rev. Dr. Andral Bratton "A.B" Plexico Jr.
October 28, 1931 ~ March 25, 2022 (age 90)
Andral Bratton “A.B” Plexico, Jr. of Mebane, NC passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Sharon, South Carolina, A.B. was the husband of Joyce Lunette Good Plexico and the son of Andral Bratton Plexico, Sr. and Ellen Hope Plexico, both deceased.
A.B. attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. and upon graduation, served in the U.S. Army, “C” Company 47th Armored Infantry Battalion where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant and Company Commander. Upon discharge from the Army, he married his childhood sweetheart, Lunette Good on June 19, 1955. They were married for 66 years until her death in March of 2021. A.B. attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. He began his ministry in Blackstock, SC. He then served the Good Hope Presbyterian Church in Iva, SC before answering the call to Hawfields Presbyterian Church in January of 1972. He earned his Degree of Doctor of Ministry on May. 23, 1993. He faithfully served the Hawfields Church and Community until his retirement in 1997. He was honored with the title of Pastor Emeritus of Hawfileds Presbyterian Church. He and Lunette spent their retirement years in the Hawfields Community which they loved so dearly.
Survivors include his two daughters; Ann Boone and husband Allen, Susie Scott and husband Greg, grandchildren; Andral Paul Jollay and wife Ashli, Ben Scott and wife Amber, one great-granddaughter; Bailey Nichole Jollay, sister; Molly Love, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Hawfields Presbyterian Church, 2115 S. NC Hwy. 119, Mebane, NC 27302. Interment will follow in the Hawfields Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service in the church sanctuary beginning at 10:00 am and at other times will be at the home of Susie and Greg Scott.
